Seasoning

Isn't it funny how our tastes change throughout the seasons?

I rarely crave a watermelon in December. It's all about cinnamon and peppermint then. Peppermint just sounds icky to me at the moment. But when I start smelling those leaves--and the fall air gets crisp and bright--I want pumpkin pie and butternut squash soup.

My fashion choices change a little, too. Spring turns me into a lady who lunches in florals and dainty heels. Summer makes me feel kind of California Girl in jeans and tanks and sandals. Fall makes me crave plaid and boots and prairie skirts.

I'm not ready for fall yet (we had a very late start to summer this year), but at least there will be cute clothes waiting when the time is right.

Summer cravings--corn on the cob, fresh tomatoes, watermelon, and anything cooked on the grill.

Fall cravings-- pumpkin anything (like you said) crumbles, crisps, and cobblers, and apple cider.

Winter- Soup of any kind, hot cocoa, and cinnamon rolls.

Spring- I'm not really sure about spring. Hmmm

I feel like I dress the same way all the time because I have to wear a blue shirt and black pants to work. Prior to this job it was tan pants with a blue shirt, and prior to that job it was workout wear. So I haven't really been in a position to be fashionable in recent years. Maybe fall and the start of school will give me some opportunity. I have to wear a uniform for clinicals, but the rest of the time I can chose what to wear.

Summer Cravings-BBQ, Gallons of Unsweetened Iced Tea, Iced Coffee, Tomatoes, Fresh Salsa, Caprese Salads.

Fall - Pumpkin, Apple, Turkey. Halloween Candy. Coffee.

Winter - Mincemeat Pies, Turkey, Good Soup, and to go to the tropics and eat mexican or hawaiian food. Coffee.

Spring - Salads, anything fresh. Coffee!

Fashion is where I am just so incredibly weak. Because I've never had a cute body, I haven't really cared what was on it. I want to dress 'nice' but I usually end up looking like a lesbian when I try. I hate dresses, but am trying to enjoy the trend of leggings under dresses thing. I still feel like I should be trick or treating when I wear it though.

if only we could afford to revamp our wardrobes to fit our "cravings" with each new season. *sigh* that would be amazing.
I know what you mean, I get the same way. I picked up a peppermint mocha for a friend the other day and I thought it was funny that I felt odd ordering the drink in the dead of summer. In my mind I thinking "that's a fall/winter drink" LOL
